Exploring is a worksite-based program. Exploring's purpose is to provide experiences that help young people mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults. Explorers are ready to investigate the meaning of interdependence in their personal relationships and communities.

At regular scheduled Post meetings, Police explorers have the opportunity to learn first hand, through an academic, recreational and social program, all areas of law enforcement.  A hands-on approach  gives young adults the opportunity to work along side police officers and learn important facts about police work that will assist them in making a decision about a career in law enforcement.

UNIFORMS  Explorer uniforms are police style and are provided by the Tulsa Police Explorers Post 10. The uniform is to be worn in accordance with the standard operating procedures of Post 10. Additional equipment provided by Explorer Post 10 includes the following: uniform patches, badge and collar brass. Explorer uniform maintenance is the sole responsibility of each member and the uniform remains the property of the Tulsa Police Department.
