Tulsa Police Academy

In 1967 the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training
(CLEET) authorized the Tulsa Police Department to train Tulsa
Police Recruit Officers . The current Training Center is a
state-of-the-art facility containing modern classrooms and
equipment, and has one of the best equipped fitness centers in the
city. The training staff has a solid reputation for professionalism
and continues to be approved by CLEET for training . Experts from
the field and from related community agencies are brought in
regularly to ensure that recruits are getting the very best
training."
Tulsa Police law enforcement training does not end with
successful completion of the academy. Graduates are assigned to
Field Training Officers for a 16 week period of on-the-job
training. All Tulsa Police Officers receive 40 hours of in-service
training during each calendar year.
