Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge
The 2012 Law Enforcement Torch Run Polar Plunge is getting
closer. This year the event will take place on Saturday Feb.
25th at Big Splash WaterPark (21st and Yale). Registration
begins at 1000 and the plunging starts at 1100. Tulsa Police
Department won last year for the most money raised and most
plungers. Let's do it again in 2012. See below for the
information on the event. If you have any questions contact

POLAR PLUNGE FACTS
Why Plunge? In 2011, More than 855 plungers made the
Polar Plunges a huge success with over $180,000 was raised for the
9,500 athletes of Special Olympics Oklahoma.
What is a Polar Plunge? A Polar Plunge
is a fundraising challenge made to an individual or group
challenging them to flying leap - a leap into the frigid waters in
order to raise money for Special Olympics. Each participant
collects pledges from family, friends and businesses in the hopes
of raising lots of money for the local Program. Then, on a select
day, they "take the plunge" in the cold water to benefit Special
Olympics.
Who Can Plunge? Anyone can plunge!! Young
and old. Only registered plungers will be allowed in the water. A
parent or guardian must sign the waiver form if a plunger is under
age 18. Attire: Anything but a wetsuit. Shoes are recommended;
costumes are encouraged. Remember to bring a towel to dry
off!
The more you raise, the more cool prizes you win!
Don't forget to create your own web page-
