Listing Error
Please read this before calling or emailing to complain about an
error in the online warrants. The online listing of warrants is
automatically generated from the Tulsa Police Department Records
system. No one puts together a list of online
warrants. It is not possible to take out individual records in
the online system.
The Tulsa Police Department does not issue and cannot legally
recall warrants. Police Officers can only serve warrants (make
an arrest). Warrants are issued by a judge and sent to the
Records Division where they are entered into the system. They
can only be recalled by the issuing court.
If you believe a warrant is not valid you should contact the
court issuing the warrant. If you are told that it has been
recalled or cancelled, be aware that it can take several days or
longer before the paperwork reaches the police department. The
police department has no control over this process.
If the person named in the warrant is deceased the Tulsa Police
Department cannot cancel the warrant without a valid death
certificate.
If you have been told that a warrant has been issued it may be
several days or longer before the paperwork reaches the Tulsa
Police Records Division. The police department has no control
over this process. The warrant will not appear in the online
warrants until it is entered into the records system.
