Officer Glenn Allison

Died on Feb. 7, 1918, while taking two prisoners to jail from
the Cosden Refinery.
The prisoner in the back seat, Woody Russell, struck Officer
Allison over the head with a tire pump. The other prisoner
walked back to the Cosden Refinery and notified other
officers. Russell boarded an eastbound freight train but was
arrested eleven days later in Joplin, Missouri. He was convicted
and sentenced to life in prison.
