Injury Hit and Run/Arrest:
On August 29, 2012 at 10:04 p.m., officers responded to 2800 E. Pine Street to investigate an injury collision involving a motorcycle. When officers arrived they discovered a 32 yao, male, suffering from severe trauma to his left leg. The male had been riding his motorcycle when he was hit by a white pickup, which fled the scene.  The investigation led officers to 1421 N. Wheeling Avenue, where the suspect, Amy Bratton, dob: 10/21/75, was located.  After officers interviewed Bratton, she  was  arrested for leaving the scene of an injury accident and several other traffic violations.

Robbery by Force/Arrest:
On August 30, 2012 at 2:53 a.m., officers responded to a strong arm robbery at, 2745 E. 11th Street. The female victim told officers she was on a smoke break, when a white male approached her and asked for a cigarette. The victim gave the suspect a cigarette and she then turned to walk away. As she walked away the suspect attacked her from behind and attempted to grab her cell phone. A male coworker saw the attack and came to assist the victim. The suspect fled on foot with the victim's cigarette lighter. Security officers with Bama Pie, chased the suspect, but lost him in the neighborhood.  K-9 Officer Johnson and his partner Sarge were able to locate the suspect hiding in the bushes at 2244 E. 8th Street.
Matthew Steeves, dob: 10-04-89 was arrested for robbery by force and resting arrest.
