Public Notice 2017 Justice Assistance Grant

The disparate jurisdictions of the City of Tulsa and Tulsa County will use their JAG funds to support The Tulsa County Sheriff's Department and the Tulsa Police Department with personnel and equipment enhancement. The Tulsa Police Department will be using the funds for a Records Management System, Less Lethal Munitions, Physical Fitness Equipment, an Inventory System Upgrade, a Tulsa Police Reserve Program, a Sexual Predator and Violent Offender Program, a Directed Patrol-Community Policing Program, and Special Response Team Equipment. The Tulsa County Sherriff's Office will be using the funds to purchase Protective Vests. These projects will increase officer safety and allow the officers to serve the general public more efficiently.

To comply with grant requirements, the Tulsa Police Department is posting notification of the application for a period of 30 days. A copy of the grant application will be available at the City of Tulsa-City Clerk's Office (175 E. 2nd Street).
