Public Notice 2018 Justice Assistance Grant

The disparate jurisdictions of the City of Tulsa and Tulsa County will use their JAG funds to support The Tulsa County Sheriff's Department and the Tulsa Police Department with personnel and equipment enhancement. The Tulsa Police Department will be using the funds for Police Lab Supplies, Tactical safety training supplies, Defensive tactics safety training guns, Training mats, a Records Management system, a Sexual Predator and Violent Offender Program, Fugitive warrants, Cybercrimes forensic equipment, Emergency medical responders training, Crime gun investigations, a Directed patrol-community policing program, and an Inventory Control System upgrade. The Tulsa County Sherriff's Office will use the funds to purchase fingerprinting equipment. These projects will increase officer safety and allow the officers to serve the general public more efficiently.

To comply with grant requirements, the Tulsa Police Department is posting notification of the application for a period of 30 days. A copy of the grant application will be available at the City of Tulsa-City Clerk's Office (175 E. 2nd Street).
