Shooting outside downtown's Fassler Hall

We're looking for more information about a shooting that hurt one person outside Fassler Hall early Saturday morning.

Tulsa police officers responded to a call about the shooting near 3rd Street and Elgin around 1:25 a.m. and found a large crowd around the victim. The crowd was uncooperative and confrontational with first responders which made it difficult to help the victim.

GID patrol and Impact Officers responded and eventually got the scene under control for the Crime Scene Unit. The victim was taken to the hospital for surgery for an apparent gunshot wound to the abdomen.

Officers obtained video of the incident which shows a group of men starting a fight outside the bar before a man runs up and pulls out a pistol. Soon after, two men rushed the man and a shot was fired, hitting the victim.

The suspected shooter tried to run away and was assaulted by several people but he got away as officers arrived.

The victim was reportedly in stable condition as of Saturday afternoon.

Anyone with information that can help identify the suspected shooter in this case is asked to contact Tulsa Crime Stoppers at 918-596-COPS.
