Additional Information
Records Division is the official repository for all police and
collision reports created by the Tulsa Police Department. The
division completes data entry into the department's records
management system and handles both officer requests for information
and public requests.
All police reports are filed in Police Records which is the
official custodian for the Tulsa Police
Department. The Oklahoma Open Records Act
provides for public access to defined "Open Records". City of
Tulsa Mayoral Executive Order 95-04 states that the City of Tulsa
shall comply with the Open Records Act.
If an individual is entitled to a copy of a report based on the
Oklahoma Open Records Act or other applicable law, Crime victims
are entitled to one free copy of their report but they must appear
in person in order to verify identity. Email requests for
free copies will not be honored. Although the victim's first
copy is free, additional copies are full price.
