The program provides for young people to serve the community, develop leadership skills, and provides an attitude of support from peers and adults during the maturing process.

ELIGIBILITY & MEMBERSHIP
Any person between the ages of 14 and 20 may apply for membership to the Tulsa Police Cadets. Membership into the unit is achieved by attending two consecutive Unit meetings and successfully completing an oral interview.
At regular scheduled Unit meetings, Police Cadets have the opportunity to learn firsthand, through an academic, recreational, and social program, all areas of law enforcement, with a hands-on approach that gives young adults the opportunity to work along side police officers and learn important facts about police work that would assist them in making a decision about a career in law enforcement.
