The Rotary Club of Tulsa announced Wednesday Det. Aubrey Williams as the 2026 Tulsa Police Officer of the Year.

Det. Williams took home the honors on our end, while Tulsa Fire Department Firefighter Frankie Young was awarded the 2026 Firefighter of the Year.

Tulsa Police Chief Dennis Larsen and Fire Chief Michael Baker were among those who spoke at Wednesday’s Above and Beyond Awards Ceremony. Williams’s K-9 partner Ripley also received a pin.

Williams joined the Tulsa Police Department six years ago, and joined the Sexual Predator Investigation and Digital Evidence Recovery Unit (SPIDER) two years ago. In this role, she’s conducted numerous investigations targeting predators who exploit children online.

Upon joining SPIDER, Williams voluntarily took on the challenge of becoming the handler for an electronic device detection K-9. Through extensive training, certifications, and long hours outside of her Detective duties, Williams and K-9 Ripley now play a critical role in locating hidden electronic devices containing vital digital evidence.

Williams and Ripley also spend a significant amount of their time teaching valuable online safety and prevention skills in the community. Her presentations aim to empower children and their families with the knowledge they need to protect themselves.

The Rotary Club of Tulsa’s award comes with $7.500 to be donated to organizations of Williams’s choosing. In her name, $3,500 will be donated to the Tulsa Child Advocacy Network and $4,000 will be donated to The Hope Center Indy, Inc.’s K-9 Training Program.
