Jonathan Brooks sworn in as 42nd Tulsa Police Chief

Jonathan Brooks officially became the 42nd Chief of the Tulsa Police Department on Monday in a ceremony held at the Tulsa Police Academy.
Following a few weeks of co-running the department alongside newly retired Chief Dennis Larsen, Brooks was officially sworn into office with friends, family, department staff, and elected officials in attendance.
Brooks spent his first week meeting with community partners, officers, and elected officials to discuss his goals and expectations. He also spent time with the rookies in both of our academy classes and wrapped up the week at a City Council Education Forum, focusing on strategies to give Tulsa's youth the best possible opportunities and outcomes.
Looking ahead, Chief Brooks will be hosting a series of community meetings to hear directly from Tulsans.
