A Tulsa man is in custody Monday after killing three women and hurting his infant child.

Tulsa police officers responded to reports of a triple homicide around 6:30 a.m. on Monday at the Wood Creek Apartments near Garnett and I-244.

Officers searched the apartment and found three women dead inside and an infant who'd been shot lying on the ground next to one of the women. An officer grabbed the baby and ran out of the apartment to a firefighter to get medical attention.

The infant made it to the hospital and out of surgery and is expected to survive.

Detectives learned Caleb Venson arrived at the apartment earlier that morning and got inside by shooting out a sliding glass door. Venson then shot and killed his ex who is the mother of his child as she was holding the child. The child was hit and Venson also shot and killed two other women inside the apartment.

A 13-year-old boy inside the apartment managed to escape through a window and call for help.

Venson turned himself in before 8 a.m.

He's facing charges for three counts of First-Degree Murder, one count of Shooting with Intent to Kill, and one count of First-Degree Burglary.
