One person is in custody after a shooting left a man dead outside Woodland Hills Mall in Tulsa on Tuesday.
Tulsa police officers responded to a shooting call at the mall near 71st Street and Memorial around 6:15 p.m. and arrived to find a victim on the ground outside the northwest main entrance to the mall.
The victim, Kierstan "KJ" Love, was taken to the hospital where he died later that night.
Detectives learned there was some sort of altercation inside the mall that led to Love and the suspected shooter fighting outside the mall entrance. The suspect, Deonte Crump, pulled a gun and shot Love before running away.
Through the efforts of Homicide Detectives, the Fugitive Warrants Unit and Patrol Officers, Crump was identified and arrested on Dec. 28.
