Polar Plunge: Tulsa Police help raise thousands of dollars for Special Olympics Oklahoma

Supporters dive into a pool of freezing cold water next to a Tulsa Police car with Special Olympics Oklahoma branding.

Tulsa Police Officers, along with Officers from Tulsa County Sheriff's Office (TCSO) and Broken Arrow Police Department, took the plunge on Saturday to show their support for more than 12,500 Special Olympics Oklahoma participants!


Teams of supporters jumped into the freezing cold water at the Ascension St. John Sportsplex, competing for the top fundraising award.


Team Tulsa Fraternal Order of Police- FOP Public Page was the top fundraising team with $5,380 raised. The Tulsa Police Academy Class 132 also raised $2,650.


A total of $26,700 was raised in support of Special Olympics Oklahoma. Thank you to everyone who participated, donated, and supported this great event!
