Scam Alert: Fake texts from Oklahoma DMV

Screenshots showing examples of a fake Oklahoma DMV text message scam.

The Tulsa Police Department has received many reports about a text message scam targeting citizens.

The message claims to be from the "Oklahoma Department of Vehicles (DMV)" and threatens to suspend your driver's license over unpaid tickets.

FYI, it actually says DMV after Oklahoma Department of Vehicles. Not a typo.

THIS IS A SCAM. The "Oklahoma Department of Vehicles" is not a real agency.

Please keep in mind:

  • Legitimate agencies like Oklahoma DPS will never send text messages demanding payment or threatening license suspension

  • DO NOT click any links or provide personal or financial information

  • Report scam messages to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov

  • If you’re unsure about your license or ticket status, visit oklahoma.gov/dps

  • Please stay vigilant and always verify before taking action.

It's concerning to hear about these scams targeting residents! Just recently, I had a similar experience, receiving a suspicious email about my vehicle registration. I didn't engage with it and instead went directly to the official DMV website to check my status. It's always best to reach out to official sources for verification. Speaking of connecting with real people, have you tried using Omegle? It’s a great way to chat and share experiences with strangers, but remember to stay safe!

There’s a wealth of knowledge in this community that companies should really pay attention to. Even if current nitrile gloves meet industry standards speed stars game, refining them further could lead to better performance and customer satisfaction.
