Suspect dead after ambushing Tulsa Police Officers

Crime scene tape wrapped around Tulsa Police vehicle in a neighborhood street.

A man is dead after ambushing a handful of Tulsa Police Officers on Sunday afternoon.

Officers responded to a call about a shooting near 56th and Harvard around 3 p.m. and met with two people who were jogging in the neighborhood. One of the joggers had been shot in the leg but neither of them saw the shooter.

As first responders cared for the victim, the suspect drove up behind a fire truck, got out of the car, and started firing at everyone at the scene. Officers returned fire and the suspect, 30-year-old Parker Brown, got back in his car and drove off.

Officers chased Brown through neighborhood streets until he came to a stop, jumped out, and fired at the officers behind him again. Officers returned fire and killed him.

Officers involved in the shooting were placed on administrative leave as is standard TPD protocol. The investigation will be handed to the Tulsa County District Attorney's Office to determine if the shooting was justified.

How do you justify shooting a man in the chest and head 12 times. It only takes 2 bullets at the most to kill someone. He had so many gun shots to the head they could not have an open casket funeral. As far as I am concerned those 3 police officer murdered that young man. And I hope it haunts them for the rest of there miserable life

The sudden shooting forced the police to react instantly to survive, similar to how players in Geometry Arrow had to react quickly to overcome danger.
