'The First 48' announces departure from Tulsa

The Tulsa Police Department announced on Thursday that the A&E series "The First 48" will shut down the production of its true-crime series in Tulsa.

The series highlighted homicide cases and units around the country, but spent more than a decade covering the cases investigated by the Tulsa Police Homicide Unit. The department shared a message along with a series of photos from the series on social media:
