A Tulsa man is in custody after the death of his 4-month-old child.
On Jan. 8, Child Crisis Detectives with the Tulsa Police Department, along with DHS Investigators, responded to Saint Francis Hospital where they were notified about a 4-month-old boy with life-threatening injuries.
Medical staff reported the infant had bruising to the head, a skull facture, jaw fractures, a subjunctival hemorrhage, multiple rib fractures, and multiple leg fractures. The infant also had brain swelling among other injuries.
Detectives determined the abuse and injuries to the boy happened while under the care of his father, Daquan White.
The following day, White was arrested for an outstanding warrant and he admitted to detectives that he'd committed dangerous acts on the 4-month-old boy in an effort to get him to be quiet.
The boy passed away on Jan. 11.
White faces charges for Second-Degree Murder AFCF (After Former Conviction of a Felony), Child Abuse AFCF and Child Neglect AFCF.
