Tulsa Police Officers helped local families shop for the holidays on Saturday in the annual Shop with a Cop event.
Children brought their wish lists for their parents and siblings to the Walmart at Admiral and Memorial, and Officers and Rotary Club of Tulsa volunteers met with them to wander around the store and shop for their families. Meanwhile, the volunteer Rotarian secretly shopped for the child.
Every year since 2002, the Rotary Club of Tulsa hosts this annual outreach event for at-risk Tulsa youth who may have only negative impressions of police officers. In partnership with the Tulsa Fraternal Order of Police, several children and their families came out to help kick off the holiday season.
