The Tulsa Police Relay Team had a great time at the Route 66 Marathon on Sunday. Major Roberts took the first leg of the race starting in downtown, Officer Tollefson, Officer Burns and Officer Whitten took the middle three legs, then Officer Metcalf finished the race ending at the University of Tulsa!
For the second year in a row, we had a competition with our friends over at the Tulsa Fire Department -- and again this year, TFD won the relay.
The TPD Relay team placed 12th overall in the relay, but 1st in our division since the team had two females!
The Tulsa Police Motorcycle Unit also took part in the marathon, leading the racers through the course. The Tulsa Police Bicycle Unit also took part, and many Officers were out working blocking traffic and keeping everyone safe.
Congrats to all the winners, and thanks to everyone who came out to show their support for the marathon!
Congratulations to the Tulsa Police Relay Team on a fantastic performance, especially finishing 1st in your division! Great job to everyone involved, and it's awesome to see the community come together for such a great event. Buckshot Roulette
