A man is dead and a woman is injured after a shooting at an encampment just outside of downtown Tulsa on Saturday morning.
Tulsa police officers responded to the shooting call just after midnight and found 40-year-old Alcides Monroig dead from a gunshot wound. They also found a woman who had multiple gunshot wounds who was taken to the hospital and expected to survive.
Detectives identified the suspected shooter, but that person's status under the McGirt ruling will likely pushed the prosecution to federal court. TPD is working to investigate the case and get a warrant for the suspect's arrest.
