Women in Policing event showcases Tulsa Police careers, life in law enforcement

The Tulsa Police Department held its latest Women in Policing event on Saturday at the department's Training Division.

Women interested in law enforcement spent the better part of their day observing and participating in demonstrations by various Specialty Units, including our K-9 Unit, Crime Scene, Defensive Tactics, and Special Operations Team. They also heard from a panel of women in leadership positions at the Tulsa Police Department and from Officers who discussed their experiences working in law enforcement.

Participants wrapped the day up with demonstrations and interactive lessons on what it takes to be a Tulsa Police Officer, including educational and physical requirements, and an opportunity to take our Physical Abilities Test!
