Citizens Police Academy registration open for Fall 2026

Registration is now open for the Fall 2026 session of the Tulsa Police Department's Citizens Police Academy.

Starting Sept. 10, classes will meet on Thursday nights until graduation on Dec. 10.

The course is designed to introduce citizens to the various squads and divisions that make up our department. The curriculum includes topics like use of force, firearms training, pursuits, and investigations.

Most importantly, this serves as an opportunity for people to better understand what it takes to keep our community safe.

The course is free to citizens living, working, or going to school in Tulsa. Some classes feature hands-on learning, but it won’t be physically taxing.
