The Tulsa Police Cadet program, formerly known as the Tulsa Police Explorers, is now recruiting new members.

What is it?

The Cadet Program is the premier program for young adults considering careers in law enforcement and criminal justice.

Who can join?

Anyone between the ages of 14-21 who is enrolled in school, which can be Jr. High, High School, and College. Membership in the Cadet Program is achieved by attending two consecutive unit meetings and completing an oral interview and background check.

What do they do?

Each week, Cadets train by completing police-based response scenarios and testing and preparing for annual competitions to test their skills and knowledge. Additionally, cadets have the opportunity to participate in ride-alongs and take part in community events hosted in Tulsa.

UNIT MEETINGS:

Unit meetings are held on Tuesday evenings, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. (subject to change), at the Tulsa Police Training Division, 6066 E. 66th St. N., Tulsa, OK 74117. Please contact a Mentor for the next Unit meeting date and time.
