Since 1917, there have been 41 Tulsa Police Officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty.
The Tulsa Police Officers' Memorial is located outside of the Tulsa Police Training Division in north Tulsa. On Friday night, many gathered inside the Division for a candlelight vigil honoring those 41 Tulsa Police Officers.
At 10:00 Saturday, several hundred people gathered for a formal memorial service to recognize and honor the lives of the 41.
Mayor GT Bynum and Chief Wendell Franklin spoke at the memorial service.
Gov. Kevin Stitt issued a proclamation recognizing today as "Tulsa Police Officers' Memorial Day."
To the 41 Fallen Officers, we are forever grateful for their service and their sacrifice.
