Hundreds of people gathered for the formal memorial service Saturday morning in honor of those fallen officers.

Tulsa Mayor G.T. Bynum issued a proclamation recognizing May 6 as "Police Memorial Day" and Oklahoma Gov. Kevin Stitt issued his own proclamation recognizing the day as "Tulsa Police Officers' Memorial Day."
